Summer Sensations ROYAL PAINS and WHITE COLLAR Return in January
The upcoming season of Doctor Who will be split into
two parts by the BBC. In the U.K., the first batch of seven episodes
will air in the spring, and culminate in a cliffhanger tentatively
scheduled to air Easter weekend. The second batch of six episodes
will air in the fall. It's still unclear if BBCAmerica will follow a
similar schedule in the U.S.
"We are going to make it two series – seven episodes at Easter
building to an earth-shattering climax, a cliffhanger we could never
normally do because it would be too long before it came back,"
Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat told the Guardian. All five
previous seasons of Doctor Who's revival have aired in a single
thirteen episode batch during the spring (in the U.K.). The series
will continue its annual tradition of special Christmas episodes.
The change in scheduling will cut the break between seasons in half.

Nigel Lythgoe will return as an executive producer of AMERICAN IDOL,
television's No. 1 series. Lythgoe joins executive producers Simon
Fuller, Cecile Frot-Coutaz and Ken Warwick for the milestone 10th
anniversary season of AMERICAN IDOL, premiering January 2011 on FOX.
SyFy has assembled a cast of veteran genre actors for it's new offbeat superhero
series, Three Inches. Noah Reid (Strange Days at Blake Holsey High) will star.
James Marsters (Smallville, Caprica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Andrea Martin
(My Big Fat Greek Wedding, SCTV Network), Stephanie Jacobsen (Melrose Place,
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galactica: Razor), Naoko
Mori (Torchwood), Antony Del Rio (The Super Hero Squad Show), Kyle Schmid (Blood
Ties) and Brandon Jay McLaren (TRON: Legacy, Harper’s Island) will join the

the pilot episode.
Three Inches follows the adventures of Walter Spackman (Reid), who, after being
struck by lightning, discovers he can move objects with his mind. He only can
move them a total of three inches, though. He’s soon recruited by a covert team
of superheroes each gifted with their own extraordinarily ordinary abilities.
Together, the unlikely band of heroes proves that “super” is simply a state of
mind.

Young people are often at the forefront of social change; this program takes a look at how young people are creating change today in a world of conflict, poverty and social inequality.
The special visits Artsbridge, a conflict resolution leadership program that brings Israeli and Palestinian high school students together to inspire dialogue. Each July, students are invited to Boston, Mass. to collaborate on an art project. Part of the collaboration is meant to encourage new ways of communicating with one another. The program's founder, Debbie Nathan, is a mental health counselor and art therapist who wanted to start a program that helps young people living in conflict. She says, "What I want the students to get out of working together through art is how to take a challenging situation where you may not agree…but still come together and work constructively to solve challenges and build something."

Nobody is safe from Ed's rants, including his sons, Henry, a struggling writer-turned-unpaid blogger; and Vince, the meek half of a husband/wife real estate duo with domineering Bonnie. When Henry finds he can no longer afford to pay rent, Ed reveals a soft spot and invites Henry to move in with him. In addition, Raddatz will tour the Afghanistan-Pakistan border with battlefield commanders as the final brigades of U.S. troops arrive as part of the surge. She will be reporting for all ABC News broadcasts and platforms, including "World News with Diane Sawyer," "Good Morning America" and "Nightline."
Raddatz has been covering the war since it began and has made frequent trips to the region, most recently to Afghanistan in July. During her May trip she became the first reporter to embed in an F-15 fighter during a combat mission.

Baldwin ("Dirty Sexy Money," "Gossip Girl") will join the cast of the

was launched in 2009 by Vogue, the Council of Fashion

on year two of Fashion's Night Out, to be held on September
10, 2010, taking viewers behind the scenes during months of
intense planning and preparation as well as tracking the night

One of FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists To Be Profiled
On a very special episode of AMERICA'S MOST WANTED, airing Saturday,
Sept. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, host John Walsh will look back at
the day that changed America forever. Reporting from Ground Zero, Walsh
will take viewers through the events of September 11 and will offer
updates on the search for those responsible. As part of the 24th season
premiere, this retrospective will feature footage from Walsh's visit to
the site on September 13, 2001 - just two days after the attacks.
TNT to Shine Spotlight on Bones with Labor Day Marathon, Plus Two Weeks of
Episodes Showcasing the Lead Characters' Romantic Chemistry
TNT will present an eight-hour Labor Day marathon of the hit series Bones,
followed by two weeks of episodes that highlight the romantic chemistry
between the two lead characters, played by Emily Deschanel and David
Boreanaz. Bones, which joined TNT's lineup in January 2008, has steadily
grown its audience. For the year-to-date, Bones is averaging 1.9 million
viewers on TNT, up 17% over last year. Deliveries of adults 18-49 and
adults 25-54 are also up compared to 2009.

Country Music Superstar Clint Black Volunteers for "Get on the Bus" Campaign
Two years ago, Steve Mattingly was responding to a fire call at a neighborhood home, where he was asked to direct traffic around the site. Steve's wife, Melissa, was driving by the fire when disaster struck: Steve was hit full speed by a car that didn't see him. An EMT herself, Melissa immediately got out of her car and ran to her husband to give him care. Steve suffered multiple injuries, brain damage and amnesia. To date, he has had seven surgeries to try to repair the damage. Most of his problems with pain, balance and memory are irreparable, and he will probably never be able to work a full-time job again. Although Steve, 41, has regained his ability to walk and retains his humorous personality, his family knows his life has changed forever. They live in a small, 700-square-foot crumbling trailer, and Melissa, 38, is now the sole wage earner. They cannot afford to fix the home, which they also share with their growing daughters, Alana, 12, and Madison, 11. Now it's up to Ty and the gang to give this family who have endured such hardship some comfort in a peaceful new home.
